Our Commitment
Foundations built early in life can change a direction forever. Experiencing
the unique joys associated with learning can open up your child's eyes
to a lifetime of discovery. At Kinderhaus, we're profoundly committed
to this principle, and toward helping our children turn their wondrous
curiosities into an appreciation for knowledge.
Our Values
We believe parental involvement teaches children that school and
learning are both important and valued. Therefore, we strongly encourage
parents to become actively involved with the school and their child's
education.
The innate goal of any child is the development of self - psychologically,
socially, physically and mentally. Kinderhaus shares this goal and uses
the Montessori Method to achieve it.
Enrollment Openings
Our program is offered 3 days a week (M,T,Th) for 3-year-olds and 5 days a week for 4- and 5-year-olds.
We have a morning session from 8:45am-11:30am and an afternoon session from 12:45pm-3:30pm.

the teachers.
- Several all-school social events are held during the year.
- Kinderhaus teachers conduct parent-teacher conferences twice
a year.

Field trips may include, for example: The Children's Theater, a
gymnastics center, nature centers, and an animal farm.
- Throughout the year, special classroom celebrations include
a fall festival, winter celebration, and Valentine's Day.
- The children put on a Dad's Night in the winter and a Mom's
Night in the spring. The children show their parents what they have
learned throughout the year.
Our History
Kinderhaus Montessori was established in 1964 as part of the North
Suburban Montessori School. In 1971, this school was split into smaller
units, and Kinderhaus became parent-directed.
KMS is incorporated as a private, non-profit corporation with a volunteer
parental board and is accredited by the
American Montessori Society
