Kinderhaus Montessori Preschool was established in 1964 as part of the North Suburban Montessori School. In 1971, this school was split into smaller units, and Kinderhaus became
parent-directed.
Kinderhaus is incorporated as a private, non-profit corporation with a volunteer board. We believe parental involvement teaches children that school and learning are both important and valued. Therefore, we strongly encourage parents to become actively involved with the school.
The innate goal of any child is the development of self - psychologically, socially,
physically and mentally. Kinderhaus shares this goal and uses the Montessori Method to achieve it.
